This expansion project, aims to bring specialized health services to the population, with the aim that no Andalusian is more than 30 minutes from a hospital, as well as contribute to consolidate the guarantees of maximum response times established in Andalusia for consultations external, diagnostic tests and surgical interventions thanks to the high resolution capacity of this type of hospitals.

This new network of hospitals has been driven by innovative, more efficient management criteria, based on the use of new technologies, care continuity and single-act consultations.

The renovation of the building is organized and constructed without interfering with the work, with the services that the hospital, already in operation, contains. The works that are executed in it try to interfere minimally with the offerings of the center. Thus, through functional alterations, as well as the consolidation of the spaces that the building has for the extension (as it is part of the -1 floor), they are executed according to the convenience of the program for the filling of the program to which this center was destined. In other hand, the intervention infer minimally in the care activity, during the development of the works, such as the introduction of durable construction systems, easily maintained and consistent with the current hospital, as well as the respect of the current scheme of operation and typologies, promoting and improving it , as well as image implement and materials used.
The different uses that are implemented in the center are: On floor 0, the implementation of an NMR nuclear magnetic resonance service, a consultation area reform to expand the current endoscopy service, the expansion of the surgical block and the reorganization of the area of hospitalization for implantation of surgical day hospital. On floor -1, medical consultations, for the specialties of internal medicine, digestive and day hospital, surgical consultations: dermatology, gynecology, urology, cardiology, anesthesia, surgery, consultations and ophthalmological tests with its integrated recovery area, and an extraction area attached to the laboratory.
The Benalmádena High Resolution Hospital is one of the centers of these characteristics that have been built in Andalusia in order to improve specialized assistance. It is positioned as a reference for the healthcare model of the future, in which high resolution, single-act consultations and the most advanced diagnostic and technological means combine to offer quality, innovative, efficient and close assistance. This center is managed by the Costa del Sol Health Agency.
